Tastes like Brasil. This stuff is so delicious. I saw a bunch of limes and instantly thought of Brasil and the time I worked at Rodizio in Provo. This drink is so creamy and easy to make, and brings back a lot of memories of Belo Horizonte. I can drink a gallon of the stuff. Here is the link to the recipe: Brasilian Limeade. After reading the short recipe, yes you put the limes in the blender with the peel, and when serving make sure you serve in a cup full of ice, it makes it so cold, and use a straw, its hard tipping back a cup full of ice. I can't get enough of this stuff. It tastes almost as good as coconut milk straight from the green coconut that has been chilled. Jamie isn't a believer in this drink, but it was the number one ordered drink at Rodizio. (okay really #2, #1 was water, Provo residents are cheap)

Jamie! We don't live in Utah anymore! We just moved back to CA! We are crashing with my parents till our apartment is ready for us to move in. We should totally get together some time. It would be great to see you!

Jared liked it alot as I thought. I think it would be good to serve with crused ice so it would be kindof like a slushy - OOOH maybe I could make up a batch, put it in the freezer then put it back in the blender after it was frozen and pulse with . . . . something to make it slushy. MMMM Delicious.

I completely agree with you that this is the best drink ever. I remember when I returned home, my parents thought it was so weird that I left the peel on, but that is what makes it so foamy and good. Zac makes it too, but a little different. We actually just had it the other day. You are right, we just can't get enough. We always have limes in the fridge just so we can make it. Oh I miss Brasil!!!!!!
Made it tonight. Then a second batch (lots of mouths to fill). Limes will be added to my summer shopping list. I loved it! Can't wait to make it again and share it with more people.
K, so if someone served their mission in Brazil they should know and love this drink? Am I getting this right? Brian served his mission there so if I surprise him with it will he be as excited as you are about it?
Kari Ann, to be honest the juices I had down there that were prepared like this were a bit more watered down than this recipe. This is the version that they serve at the Rodizio restaurant, and I consider it better. you may want to add a tad less sugar. But you will see how it tastes and can modify it from there. You can't go wrong with this.
